The Yankees Unintentionally Troll the Shit Out Of Gary Sanchez By Congratulating Austin Romine on His Heart and Hustle Award

I realize Carrabis couldn’t wait to blog this because he’s obsessed with the Yankees, but I had to give my two cents. 

You have to appreciate a good troll job when you see one, even if it wasn’t entirely intentional. The Yankees congratulating Austin Romine on his Heart and Hustle Award the morning after Gary Sanchez lost a baseball game for his laziness and lack of hustle is so perfect. It just so happens that this morning Major League Baseball announced the award for every team and of course it’s the Yankees backup catcher to add insult to injury. You have to just laugh at that coincidence and move on. Gary likely woke up this morning, checked his phone, and went back to bed. He’s living in a nightmare right now and can’t wake up from it.

It won’t get worse than last night. It can’t. Gary will be benched tonight and probably suit up tomorrow since it’s a noon game following a night game. If not for that, he would probably be benched for multiple games. Girardi would have probably sent him to the minors. As for anyone that actually wants Gary Sanchez traded you have to snap out of it. You know what he’s done in 2016 and 2017. You know this will turn around eventually. Last night, as I keep saying, was rock bottom. We’re better people for getting through it together. It’s always darkest before the dawn, and the dawn is coming.

Congrats to Austin Romine though. Way to hustle and give 110%.
